About

When I was four years old, I loudly and proudly told everyone, “When I grow up, I’m going to be a horse!” Working with them as both my career and hobby is the closest I could get. That little girl is still alive and well within me, and I get to reconnect with her every time I get on a horse—whether it be for a simple schooling ride, or at a big show.

I have had some amazing moments with horses in my life. I’ve competed at the Preliminary level of eventing with my four legged best friend, ridden regularly with the trainers I had posters of on my walls as a kid, and have even gotten to work under a race trainer. The excitement and love of those things comes from how much I adore sitting in my barn each night, listening to my horse’s eat hay, and soaking in the peace and happiness. Bonus points if there’s a light drizzle on a tin roof.

Absolutely nothing makes my heart sing more than seeing people of all ages develop the same love and respect I have for these creatures, and watching them maintain it from their very first ride to their first show to even their first horse.

Horses and humans are not that different, but every single one is unique. Choosing each stepping stone to create the most successful path starts with one thing: discovery. Each path looks a little different, but we have the tools here to tailor it for each individual. With over 20 years experience riding and caring for a wide range of horses, and 10 years experience teaching, the tool box is full of different avenues and opportunities to bring out the best in each horse and each rider.
